Critically acclaimed fashion designer, Vivienne Tam debuts Entire New Upholstery Furniture Collection at High Point
October 1, 2009 (McLean, VA) – After a successful early launch of her new custom upholstery line last month in Las Vegas, renowned fashion designer Vivienne Tam will unveil her entire collection at the IHFC High Point Market this October.

Vivienne Tam is highly recognized for her runway fashions and stores as well as long list of awards including Elle’s Style Award in 2008 and a nomination into the Council of Fashion Designers of America.
In 1995, Tam launched her controversial “Mao” Collection which gained international attention. “The collection allowed me to cross over from the fashion world to the art world: pieces from it have been included in several museum collections around the world, including the Museum of Fashion Institute of Technology, the Andy Warhol Museum, the Lighthouse Museum in Glasgow and the Victoria and Albert Museum in London” – quotes Vivienne in her book “China Chic”, 2000.
A favorite among celebrities, Vivienne has dressed such personalities as Julia Roberts, Madonna, Goldie Hawn, Jennifer Aniston and Ashley Judd. Most recently, Vivienne was the guest judge on the ever popular “The Fashion Show”.

I have been thinking about this and collecting archives for years” explains Vivienne. “I want to bring beautifully designed prints, fabrics, colors and textures to create a truly unique line with subtle and sophisticated pieces inspired by my Chinese roots.”
The new Vivienne Tam upholstery collection will consist of multiple sofa groupings as well as accent pieces. It will also include a range of exclusive fabric designs by Vivienne Tam which have been translated from her apparel into the home. In the fabric range is Vivienne’s iconic “Mao” design for which she has become famously recognized.
