Rowe Furniture Introduces Tables By Design into Portfolio

March 21, 2011 (Elliston, VA) – Rowe Fine Furniture, a leading manufacturer of custom upholstered furniture, today announced the introduction of a new, made-to-order occasional table program, Tables By Design. The first table collection to debut is Kaleidoscope.

In keeping with Rowe’s commitment to quality custom furniture, Rowe has partnered with Vermont based, Copeland Furniture to bring hundreds of different table combinations to its customers.

“Our partnership with Copeland is perfectly suited to expand Rowe’s commitment to provide our customers with quality custom-made furniture,” Stefanie Lucas, Rowe’s CEO and President said. “The new Kaleidoscope Collection not only brings table options to our customers, it complements the custom-upholstered furniture we are known for, creating a completely personalized room.”

Tables By Design, which will be produced by Copeland, in Vermont, will offer multiple choices of finishes, fixtures and shapes providing the customer with the opportunity to make it perfect for her room. The quality will be evident in the construction and use of solid maple wood, with six beautiful finishes showcasing the natural grain and characteristics of the wood.

In addition, all products are eco-friendly, following the commitment by Rowe and Copeland to responsible manufacturing. Both companies are members of the Sustainable Furnishings Council.

“We believe it is important to bring environmentally responsible, American-made furniture into the hands of consumers,” said Lucas. “We do that with our upholstery and that’s also what made the fit with Copeland perfect. They are one of only a few Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified furniture companies and have a long-standing history of using woods from sustainably harvested, domestic hardwood trees. We consider them an industry leader.”

Both Rowe and Copeland believe that Tables By Design and the fashionable, special order upholstery collections from Rowe complement each other well.

Tim Copeland added, “Our core business has been in bedrooms and dining rooms for many years, but we are excited at the prospect of bringing a high quality, special order occasional table program to market with Rowe, with options that we do not see in the marketplace today.”

“We wanted to expand our offerings from Rowe and mix the best products with the most options. We are great at what we do on the upholstery side and we think Copeland is great at what they do with wood products,” said Lucas. “We thought that combining our passion and expertise in each of these areas would help both companies, plus bring the best products to our customers.”
